About Us
We are the Fisher Family
Our family believes in love, fun, adventure, and serving others. When we bought our farm, we knew this could become a place for others to find healing, rest, community, and growth. We created the non-profit Hudson & Friends so others can help us serve as well. Our focus is the special needs community and our dream is for this farm to become a place where families from all across the country come to feel celebrated, restored & loved.
Areas of Focus
- Respite: bringing caregivers together for a weekend to rest, learning, restoration & community
- Job Training: providing job skills for individuals with special needs to include farming, animal care, mending, event planning, and flower picking & arranging
- Equine Therapy: Coming soon - an opportunity for individuals to find healing and growth through horseback riding and caretaking
Hudson's Story
Our son Hudson is amazing! He's full of light and brings joy to all who know him. He's funny, kind, talented, and everyone's friend - "the mayor" as most call him. He has proven to be a warrior and an overcomer too. While his unique needs and Koolen-de Vries Syndrome diagnosis certainly don't define him, the challenges associated have shown us all how difficult it can be for families to navigate the special needs journey and find support. We want to ensure Hudson and his friends have the brightest futures possible with a village of people supporting them.
